Yuksom History, Heritage and Trekking

Yuksom is recognised as Sikkim’s historic first capital and is closely associated with the coronation of the first Chogyal. Its forested setting, village atmosphere and important Buddhist sites make it worthwhile even for travellers who are not undertaking a long trek.

What to see in and around Yuksom
